HOUSING: J-Sei HOME
J-Sei Home is a wonderful Japanese assisted living option in San Francisco Bay Area. The 14-bed licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) provides care based on Nikkei traditions with an emphasis on Japanese and Asian meals, engaging activities and a warm, supportive environment. Experienced staff coordinate senior care to maximize the older adult's quality of life and the newly renovated home provides a comfortable living environment.
- At least 60 years of age, limited self-management of any of the Activities of Daily Living* (ADL); or any younger person with needs that are compatible with other residents in an Assisted Living care system.
- Able to ambulate, with or without supportive devices. Not bedridden, or confined. Care is considered semi-independent. This is not a medical facility, and no nursing staff is provided.
- Able to follow instructions to evacuate or exit the building in case of an emergency.
- Able to determine and/or manage own personal daily needs, finances, and medical regimen; OR has a Responsible Party, acting under the authority of a Power of Attorney, or Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care, possessing the authority to act on behalf of the individual and make necessary decisions.
DONATION/FEE FOR SERVICE
For this Japanese assisted living facility in the San Francisco east bay area, the basic monthly rate includes a private or semi-private room depending on individual preference, availability and accommodations. There are a limited number of SSI beds. Housekeeping and linens, three meals and snacks each day, medication management, 24-hour care and supervision, socialization and activities are included in the basic monthly rate. Additional care is available and cost depends on the level of need.
